'Kettle Moraine Blues'

Mark your calendars! It’s time again for the annual “Fat Tuesday Music Celebration!” The Palmyra-Eagle Community Band again will bring the flavor of New Orleans to Wisconsin with its special brand of musical celebration. Blues, jazz (even JASS), mingled with the sounds of the ’50s, ’60s and ’70s. What would Fat Tuesday be without trumpets, saxophones or trombones? Lead trumpeter Jim Neist will take audience members to the great "Preservation Hall" in New Orleans with the sounds of his famous “Kettle Moraine Blues." Just come and hear these oustanding local musicians create an evening of musical magic! It all happens at the Palmyra United Methodist Church, 122 N. 5th St., Palmyra, at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 25, as the band takes audiences to the Crescent City for a toe-tappin', foot-stompin’ time. This concert is free, so bring the family. Before the concert, persons can enjoy a pancake supper starting at 5 p.m. The supper, a free-will offering, is served by the Boy Scouts. Don't miss the fun!
