Wilson-Statz wedding

Lydia Elizabeth Statz and Nathaniel Dean Wilson were married Oct. 8, 2017, at The Fort Atkinson Club in Fort Atkinson. Pastor Maryellen Maclucas, the aunt of the bride, officiated the ceremony joining the daughter of Mark and Wendy Statz and the son of Michael and Kathleen Wilson, all from Fort Atkinson. The bride was given away by her father, with Melody Martin, Fort Atkinson, serving as matron of honor. Tiffany Woods, Indianapolis, was the bridesmaid. The best man was Josh Ward of Chicago, with Levi Mills, St. Louis Park, Minn., serving as groomsman. Ushers for the wedding were the siblings of the bride and groom, Tess, Jane and Mary Wilson, and Ramsey Statz. There was a late-morning wedding and cocktail brunch for the reception, including bowling on the club’s vintage lanes. The couple is planning a trip to southeast Asia in May of 2018. She is a former reporter for the Daily Jefferson County Union, and owns a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She currently is a planner at Kimley-Horn Associates in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a computer science graduate student at the University of North Carolina-Charlotte and an exhibit technician at Discovery Place Science Museum in Charlotte.
