The city of Fort Atkinson enacted a snow emergency Tuesday Beginning at 10 p.m. and ending Wednesday at 2 p.m. The emergency rule required the removal of all vehicles from city streets until after streets were cleared of snow. With over 60 miles of road to plow, the city's Department of Public Works had its work cut out for it. Following are photos taken at the city garage Wednesday afternoon as drivers finished plowing and prepared equipment for the early Thursday morning "downtown pickup," during which crews removed snow piles in the downtown area and deposited them near the city's pool or at the city's composting area behind the armory.
