Reflecting upon history, a mural dedicated in the fall of 2019 by The Beautification Council honors the history of Fort Atkinson. The mural is located on the southern wall of the city’s Water Department building. Painted by Milton artist Larry Schultz, it celebrates Fort Atkinson's history through depictions of pillars of the community, such as William Dempster Hoard and Jones Dairy Farm, historical transportation with a train depot and steamboat, and cows.
