WHITEWATER — Elizabeth Katzman of Whitewater, the daughter of Wes and Katy Katzman, has won a $1,500 scholarship from Woodstock Progressive Milk Producers.
Katzman was recognized for the “Support Wisconsin Dairy” program she started in 2020 which supported the dairy industry by selling yard signs. This initiative sold almost 1,000 signs and raised $10,000 to purchase dairy products for the Whitewater community.
Through this project, Katzman realized her passion for marketing and project management.
She is now completing her associate’s degree at Northeast Technical College in Green Bay.
This scholarship was one of seven awarded March 30 at the Woodstock Progressive Milk Producers Association meeting.
Association members, their children and grandchildren could apply for the scholarships, which could be used toward tuition at an accredited post-secondary educational program.
Woodstock Progressives is a collaborative association for milk producers. The co-op was founded in 1937.
