Audra Martinez

Audra Martinez of Fort Atkinson, formerly of Delavan, will be greatly missed by her parents, Stephen and Carol Jacobson; her brother, Sam Arneson; and her daughter, Jazmyne Martinez.

She was born Feb. 16, 1970, in Albuquerque, N.M., and died June 12, 2019.

Audra was naturally inquisitive and interested in a wide range of topics, from metaphysical philosophy, ancient Greek history to modern art. She was very creative and delighted in orchestrating events such as wedding showers, family gatherings and especially her daughter’s birthday parties.

As a daughter, she was spirited and energetic; as a sister, she was loyal and trustworthy; and, as a mother, she was devoted, loving and courageous.

Over the last 10 years, Audra suffered from alcoholism. Anyone who suffers from addiction knows how extremely difficult it is to overcome this disease.

The family would like to encourage anyone who has a family member or friend suffering from addiction to keep praying and keep believing for their recovery, and be sure to take care of themselves also — no matter what.

A celebration of Audra’s life will be held Saturday, July 27, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at CrossPointe Church Jefferson, 250 S. Wisconsin Drive, Jefferson.
