JEFFERSON — Debbie Lou Blank of Jefferson passed away at home on Tuesday, June 4, 2019, surrounded by her forever family.
She was born on Dec. 19, 1958, to Theodore (Ted) and Betty Lou (Voegeli) Blank.
Debbie worked at Opportunities Inc. for many years, where she enjoyed working. While there, she made many friends and made a lasting impression on those who knew her. She also enjoyed music and going to camp each summer. Debbie’s favorite holiday was Christmas, and she loved seeing colorful lights.
On Oct. 6, 1993, Debbie went to live with her forever family, Jack and Kelly Douglas and their children, Megan (Curtis) Smith and Tadd Douglas, and their grandson, Beren Smith, who accepted Debbie as family and surrounded her with love, support and nurturing.
Survivors include her siblings, Cheyl (Tom) Kempfer of Lake Mills, Linda Blank of Johnson Creek, Don Blank of Johnson Creek, Brenda Blank of Milford, Dawn Graham of Johnson Creek, Lora (Jeff) Schroeder of Watertown, and Lee (Lori) Blank of Hortonville; other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Timothy in infancy and Terry in 2016; brother-in-law, Farren Graham; and two nieces.
A Celebration of Debbie’s Life will be held from 1 to 3 p.m. on Saturday at the Claussen Funeral Home in Lake Mills.
Private family burial will be held Monday at Washington Cemetery in the Town of Portland.
