Laura J. Wahl

WATERTOWN — Laura J. Wahl, 50, of Watertown, passed away on Saturday, June 22, 2019, at University of Wisconsin Hospital in Madison.

Laura Jean Wahl was born on Oct. 24, 1968, to Judith (Hall) and Henry Geneman, Sr. at St. Mary’s Hospital in Watertown.

She attended high school in Jefferson.

Laura was employed at Diversey and Reiss Industries in Watertown.

She enjoyed fishing, darts, family cookouts and, most importantly, spending quality time with her grandchildren.

Laura is survived by her parents, Judith and Henry Geneman, Sr. of Tipler; husband, Brian Wahl of Waterloo; children, Christopher Wahl of Fort Atkinson, Alexander (Kayla Olson) Wahl of Watertown, Nathaniel (Brooke Dibble) Wahl of Beaver Dam, Chyanna (Christopher Harden, Jr.) Huber of Fort Atkinson and Carissa Zabel of Watertown; grandchildren, Oliver Cadmus, Trystan Harden and Evelyn Wahl; siblings, Henry Geneman of Florence, Cheri (Ron) Powers of Weyerhaeuser, Fred (Dawn) Geneman of Rice Lake, Steve (Randi) Geneman of Crystal Falls, Mich., Tony (Peggy) Geneman of Watertown, Jeanette (Jerry) Geneman of Newwald, Violet (Geneman) of Florence, and Teresa (Joe Macha) Geneman of Mosinee; sister-in-law, Teresa Baker-Geneman of Weyerhaeuser; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jeff Geneman, Sr. and Matthew Geneman.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 28, at 2 p.m. at Hafemeister Funeral Home in Watertown with Randi Geneman officiating.

Family and friends may gather on Thursday at the funeral home from 4 until 8 p.m., and on Friday from 1 p.m. until the time of service.

Burial will take place at Ebenezer Moravian Cemetery in Watertown.
