Pauline Frohmader

JEFFERSON — Pauline C. Frohmader, 88, of Jefferson, passed away on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at St. Mary’s Hospital of Madison.

Pauline was born on June 19, 1930, in Deerfield, the daughter of Lennie and Marcella (Berens) Quale.

She was a 1948 graduate of Jefferson High School.

Pauline married Earl Frohmader on Sept. 9, 1950, at the St. John’s Lutheran Church Parsonage. The couple loved to dance the polka and waltz, and enjoyed 60 years of marriage until his death in 2011.

She worked many years at Borg Fabrics of Jefferson and was a long-time member of St. John’s Lutheran Church.

Pauline loved the outdoors and spending time in God’s creation. She was an animal lover, and enjoyed watching birds fly and rabbits play. She walked often and admired many flowers.

She always was busy, whether it be cleaning or helping her family, friends and neighbors.

Pauline was hesitant to move to town, but upon arrival loved being in this area and formed meaningful relationships with her neighbors. She will be missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her children, James (Vicki) Frohmader of Jefferson and Patricia (Darrell) Hatcher of Portland, Ore.; granddaughters, Tracee (Dan) Weisensel and Tami (Joe) Rueth; great-grandsons, Sebastian and Maxwell; brothers, Paul Quale and Donald Quale, both of Jefferson; a special niece, Debbie Quale of Jefferson; and a number of other relatives and friends.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise, in infancy; and brothers, Robert Quale, Edward Quale and David Berens.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, June 19, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Jefferson with the Rev. Joshua Martin presiding.

Visitation will be on Wednesday at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service.

Pauline will be laid to rest at Union Cemetery following the service.
