Johnson Creek advanced to the consolation championship of the 36th annual Fort Atkinson Generals Tournament with a 3-1 victory over Utica Association at Jones Park on Thursday night.

Cambridge defeated Helenville, 15-1, in five innings. Helenville scored its only run in the first inning. From there, Cambridge dominated.

Blake Britzke started on the mound for Cambridge and got the win. At the plate, Britzke was 2-for-3 with a double and three RBIs.

Fort Atkinson, Rome, Milton and Jefferson will play in the winners’ bracket games on Friday night. Jefferson will play against Rome at 6:15 p.m. and Fort Atkinson will play against Milton at 8:30 p.m.

The championship round of the tournament will take place during the 18th annual Baseball Fest beginning on Thursday, June 13, and continuing through Sunday, June 16, at Jones Park.

Cambridge and Johnson Creek will play at 8:30 p.m. Thursday.
