WAUKESHA — Sophomore guard Bella Nowak led all scorers with 16 points as Waukesha North held off the visiting Fort Atkinson girls basketball team 53-50 in a nonconference game on Tuesday.

Junior guard Elly Kohl led the Blackhawks (4-7) with 13 points, junior guard Makiah Cave contributed 11 points and junior forward Brooke Christiansen added seven. Kohl and Cave hit three 3-pointers apiece.

The Northstars (3-9) made nine 3-pointers.

The Blackhawks travel to face Stoughton on Friday at 7:30 p.m. in Badger Conference play.
