ALBION — Nathan Hebbe tossed a complete game behind a six-run offensive outburst as Jefferson Post 164 defeated Edgerton, 6-4, Tuesday night in Albion.
Despite giving up four runs, Hebbe only allowed one earned run. His one earned run came off five hits. He also struck out five and walked just as many.
Jared Vogel drove in half of the Eagles’ runs with a 3-RBI performance. His three RBIs came off a pair of hits.
All six of Jefferson’s runs came in the top of the third inning.
Ryan Brost, Reese Fetherston and Hebbe all batted in one run for Jefferson.
Down 6-0, Edgerton battled back late with a run in the sixth, but the Crimson Tide’s three runs in the seventh was not enough to complete the comeback.
Edgerton’s Skylar Gullinkson collected a free trip around the bases with a home run. He ended the game with two RBIs.
The Eagles outhit the Crimson Tide, 9-4. Jefferson committed four errors to Edgerton’s one.
The win puts Jefferson at 2-2 in legion play this season.
Post 164 will head to Beaver Dam Monday at 6 p.m.
